Club Atlectico Uruguay

Club Atlético Uruguay is an Argentine football club, located in Concepción del Uruguay, Entre Ríos Province. The team currently plays at Torneo Argentino B, the regionalised 4th division of Argentine football league system.

The club were founded on 1 September 1904 and played at the highest level of Argentine football only once, the National tournament of 1984. Atlético Uruguay finished bottom of its group and only managed one draw in six matches played, as well as being heavily defeated 5–0 and 6–0 by River Plate and 7–0 by Huracán.

**Club Atlético Uruguay** (kortweg CAU) is een Argentijnse voetbalclub uit Concepción del Uruguay, provincie Entre Ríos. De club is opgericht op 12 november 1921 en speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Estadio La Histórica.

**Historie**
CAU werd opgericht door een groep jonge voetballers uit Concepción del Uruguay. De club speelde aanvankelijk in de regionale competitie van Entre Ríos, maar promoveerde in 1960 naar de Primera División. In 1966 promoveerde CAU voor het eerst naar de Primera División Nacional, het hoogste niveau van het Argentijnse voetbal.

**Stadion**
CAU speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Estadio La Histórica, dat plaats biedt aan 15.000 toeschouwers. Het stadion werd gebouwd in 1967 en is eigendom van de club.
