Hobart Zebras

Clarence Zebras Football Club is a soccer club based in the City of Clarence, Tasmania, which was formed in September of 2019 as a result of the amalgamation of Clarence United FC and Hobart Zebras FC. They compete in the NPL Tasmania, the second tier of the sport in the country below the A-League. The club also has women's teams, including in the highest division in Tasmania the Women's Super League, and teams in all youth divisions.

Clarence Zebras play their home games at Wentworth Park, a multiple pitch venue located alongside Howrah Beach in the Clarence, Tasmania with good quality playing surfaces and club facilities.

De Hobart Zebras zijn een Australisch voetbalteam gevestigd in Hobart, Tasmanië. Opgericht in 1995, spelen de Zebras in de National Premier Leagues Tasmanië, het hoogste niveau van het Tasmaanse voetbal. De thuiswedstrijden van het team worden gespeeld in het KGV Park in Glenorchy.

De club is vernoemd naar de Tasmanische zebravink, een lokale vogelsoort. De Zebras zijn een van de populairste voetbalteams in Tasmanië en hebben een toegewijde aanhang.

De Zebras hebben een aantal succesvolle seizoenen gehad, waaronder het winnen van de Tasmanian State League in 1999 en 2003. Het team heeft ook verschillende keren de Tasmaanse beker gewonnen.

In 2013 werd het team toegelaten tot de National Premier Leagues Tasmanië, de nationale voetbalcompetitie van het tweede niveau in Australië. De Zebras eindigden als tweede in de competitie in 2014 en 2015 en kwalificeerden zich voor de nationale play-offs.

In 2016 wonnen de Zebras de National Premier Leagues Tasmanië en kwalificeerden zich voor de Nationale Play-offs. Het team bereikte de halve finale, waar het werd verslagen door Sydney United 58.

De Hobart Zebras zijn een ambitieus en succesvol voetbalteam dat de afgelopen jaren een aantal mijlpalen heeft bereikt. Het team is een belangrijke kracht in het Australische voetbal en heeft een toegewijde aanhang.
