Sablé Football Club is a French football club based in Sablé-sur-Sarthe in the Sarthe department.
The club competes in Championnat National 3, the fifth level of French football, after two successive promotions.
History
The Sablé Football Club was founded in 1986 by merger of three clubs: the Sabolienne Star chaired by Gérard Nais; the Association Sportive de Sable chaired by Maurice Pottier (1928–2003); and Sable-Relax.
Sable FC is een Franse voetbalclub uit Le Mans. De club is opgericht in 1919 en speelt haar thuiswedstrijden in het Stade Leon-Bollée. Sable FC komt uit in de Championnat National 2, het vierde niveau van het Franse voetbal.
De club werd opgericht als Union Sportive du Mans en veranderde in 1985 haar naam in Sable FC. De club heeft nog nooit op het hoogste niveau van het Franse voetbal gespeeld, maar heeft wel enkele successen geboekt in de lagere divisies. Zo won Sable FC in 1949 de Coupe de l'Ouest en in 2009 de Division d'Honneur de la Ligue du Maine.
Bekende spelers die voor Sable FC hebben gespeeld, zijn onder andere Didier Deschamps, Stéphane Guivarc'h en Wilfried Dalmat.
De huidige trainer van Sable FC is Nicolas Le Bellec.
