Wikipedia - Parva Liga

De Parva Liga is de hoogste voetbaldivisie in Bulgarije die georganiseerd wordt door de Bulgaarse voetbalbond. Van 2003 tot 2016 heette de competitie A Grupa (voluit: "A" Profesionalna Futbolna Grupa).

In deze competitie spelen zestien clubs waarvan de nummers veertien t/m zestien degraderen naar de Professional B Football Group. Zoals Bulgaarse voetbalbond er nu voor staat op de UEFA-coëfficiëntenranglijst plaatst de kampioen zich voor (de voorronden van) de UEFA Champions League. De nummers twee en drie en de bekerwinnaar plaatsen zich voor (de voorronden van) de UEFA Europa Conference League.

**Bulgarije - Eerste Divisie**

De Bulgaarse Eerste Divisie is de hoogste voetbalcompetitie in Bulgarije. Het wordt ook wel de "Parva Liga" genoemd, wat "Eerste Liga" betekent. De competitie is opgericht in 1948 en bestaat uit 16 teams die twee keer tegen elkaar spelen, voor een totaal van 30 wedstrijden per seizoen. De top 6 teams spelen na het reguliere seizoen play-offs om de titel en de UEFA Champions League- en Europa League-plaatsen. De twee onderste teams degraderen naar de Tweede Divisie.

Enkele van de meest succesvolle clubs in de Bulgaarse Eerste Divisie zijn CSKA Sofia, Levski Sofia en Ludogorets. De competitie staat bekend om zijn passievolle fans en zijn technische en tactische voetbal.
